I'm going with the swankier Dodge.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
Both are beautiful Chrysler Corp automobiles just as the real fin design era was about to start. When I was little, I think I had promos of both the Dodge and Plymouth. Now days, I have a 1/64 of the Dodge and two 1/32 replicas of the 1956 Plymouth.
I like the color break on the Plymouth but everything about the Dodge screams 1955. Would love to have either in my garage but the Dodge a bit more.
I voted for the Plymouth in honor of my dad who said he had a 55 when he got out of the service. He said it was a bit problematic with the push buttons. His was red and black. I do like the Dodge but it’s a bit chromie. We never spoke much about Dodges but he did buy a Diplomat (yuk!) after Plymouth went away. I do have models of most of my dads’s cars.
An ever so slight edge to the Dodge. But the Plymouth is still pretty darn nice.😊
I like both. While I am not keen on the colours, the overall design of the Dodge is my choice.
I like them both very much but give the edge to the Dodge grille and tail end design, plus its colors and their trim separation. Very close between these two though.
Today I vote a rare TIE. On each car there is a tinge of early 50's styling still hanging around (i. e. the roofs), but each car is easy to look at. I think both FoMoCo and GM were ahead in the styling race in '55, but certainly Chrysler Corp. was showing signs of things to come. Neither of these cars would have been a personal choice of a "car I'd want if I could have one", but I'd not let it go if I had one.

I am going with the Dodge, that would be reversed if this was 1956.

I must sadly confess I find nothing remarkable about either voiture, but thank you for digging up another comparison for us to look over, John.
Perhaps you could share with me what was so offensive about my comment?
