Two exceptionally beautiful automobiles and each was a fine follow-up to the 1955 editions. I really like them both. Interestingly in real world, our family's first Dodge was a big 1965 Custom 880 station wagon that I later drove as a used hand-me down vehicle.
We also had a 1955 Pontiac sedan for many years in our family and it was a reliable and good-looking automobile.
Even though I am a lifelong fan of Pontiac, the rather chunky '56 bumper/grille makes it my least favorite year Poncho of its decade......but I still like it. In this comparison I like the Dodge a bit more though...but its very close. The '55 and '56 are my fave Dodges (in that order) of that decade.
Loving the '56 Dodge, the '56 Pontiac was a disappointment after the stylish '55.
