Glad you got your computer capability back John. Oh man - a super tough one. I love both of these cars. I hate skirts - for the most part. They look 'OK' on these two but I'd prefer to keep them off unless at a show.
And you did an awesome job coming as close as humanly possible to colors being equal.
Nope; sorry, I cannot choose a loser here. Tie 4 me.
Both terrific, but the Chevy calls to me. It looks more substantial and modern.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
After the 55 Chevy, I did not like the 56 or 57, so my nod goes to the Ford on this pairing.
This one is really close for me. I like the '56 Ford over the '55, not only for the much cleaner grill, but also for the incredibly improved dashboard.
Now the Chevy on the other hand, I've always liked both the '55 and '56 versions, with an edge to the '56. So these two gorgeous '56's being compared side-by-side, I give the slightest edge to the

The '56 Ford Fairlane is my favorite Ford of its decade so it gets the easy nod today. The '56 Chevy is a beauty for sure but the '55 Bel Air is my favorite by far.
Love the '55 Chevy, dislike the '56, like '57.
Ford, love both the '55 & '56, '57 is alright.
Today the Ford [by a dash board] please.
My liking for the Ford grows more and more as the years pass, but I still prefer the Chevrolet.
I have always liked the 55 Chevy best of the tri fives followed closely by the 56. Having owned a 56 Victoria it gets the nod in this comparison. John, I'm glad you got your computer problem straightened out.
So close! I went with the Chevy because the top is already down and I want to cruise!

I agree. In Canada in Summer, there is nothing more frustrating than a convertible with the top up. Make hay while the sun shines.
Going Ford by a slight margin. 👍

Love both...going with the Ford. Back in 1956 our family car was a '56 Ford Fairlane Town Sedan. I leaned to drive on than car. A long lasting and pleasant memory.
