They are both beautiful cars from Chrysler Corp  and are near the beginning of the fin era in design. Right now, I have a couple of 1/64 diecasts of the Dodge and also a 1/32 diecast of the Plymouth.

At one time I additionally two of the 1/32 Plymouths in different colors but one was affected by inter-granular corrosion.

The Plymouth looks "cleaner" to me, the Dodge looks a little "fussy".

I like them both very much but give the nod to the Dodge for its trim and how it facilitates the attractive 2-tone paint application.

John, you magnificent manipulator of mankind! You pulled out an ace here. Super tough, for certain.

After due consideration of plusses and minuses on both cars, I'm going with the Dodge. It came down to the Custom Royal's split grill that I favor over the Belvedere.

Dodge. It does a good job of looking a bit more up-market.

Dodge. The paint break makes the car more attractive to me.

Definitely a tie.  Both are classics. I think 1956 was the first year of push button drive. I know my dad told me he had a pink and black 56.  Thought he was hot back in the day.

@car224 As a kid I recall seeing many of these '56 Chryco cars done in pink with black, metallic dark gray or white as the secondary color.

Dodge please, always looked more up scale while Plymouth always looked cheap in comparison. The Dodge was a bit more expensive as well.

+2. Definitely cleaner side lines on the Dodge.

When scrolling through the various '56 Dodges and Plymouths it struck me just how many fabulous color combos Chryco offered on them in '56.  I really enjoyed seeing them so here are a few for youse guys.......
