I love the DeSoto's roofline and the tasteful fins. But the Pontiac wins my vote today.

TIE today, I like them both. '57 to '59 are tie for all three years to me, don't love any of them, but don't dislike any either.
Both of these late Fifties American full-size cruisers look great, even with their somewhat different design philosophies. I like each of them and would be thrilled to drive either one, now or back in the day. When I was a kid, I had a 1/25 promo of the exceptionally cool 1959 Pontiac.
I’m with John on this, the Pontiac. 👍

Love both but this is my other favorite DeSoto after 1956. It wins for me.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
I don't even need to say.😆😁
I like them both so I’m in a tie. That is the best looking Desoto. The wide tracking Pontiac is monster great!
Pontiac. The '59 featured interesting styling.
My family owned the Pontiac but I lusted after the DeSoto. Nice choices here John.
Normally I'd say DeSoto but that Pontiac is just too amazing. Pontiac, by a hair.
Pontiac by a country mile for that amazing design. And partially for sentimental reasons, as my uncle had a white '59 Pontiac 4-door which I rode in several times as a youngster. I still remember the hand grab on the passenger side of the dash.
Neither are favorites of mine but slight edge to the Pontiac.
My favorite Chrysler vehicle from ‘59 is the Plymouth Fury; my favorite CAR from 1959 is that wide track Pontiac.

Love both, but it's the Bonneville that gets my vote.
Gents, thanks for your replies.
