Hmm, they both have an “interesting” styling design in the middle of their front end but I’m choosing the Poncho as I find its design the best looking “nose” down.

While I have no love affair with either one, I'd much rather own and drive the Pontiac. My vote John.

Easy win for the jazzy Pontiac.

Retired in Dunedin, Florida.

I'm with everyone else on this pairing.  The Pontiac please.  Love the nose.

That is a nice Pontiac but I am going with a memorial choice for a dead too soon Edsel.

Not my favorite Pontiac, but as to the Edsel, Hate is really a strong word to say about a car.

This was the one of strongest WHF moments I’ve had in a long time. Even though the ‘E’ word is infamous for being one of the ugliest misfit failures in modern automotive history, I wouldn’t put a model of it in my display. I can’t imagine having to glance at it accidentally when looking at my beautiful, carefully selected replicas, especially my DM Bonnie convertible!

Pontiac gets my vote today.  The wide track must have been great to drive.  What a cruiser.  That poor Edsel. But it looks like the grill doctors took note of the Pontiac grill and used almost the same design for the much improved 1960 Edsel.

Well matched, John ! I'll take the Pontiac, but it was close for me.

Pontiac is the better car and judging by the votes the more popular car. As nice as the '59 Pontiac may be, I never cared for the dual tail fins. Based on looks only I prefer the '59 Edsel over the '59 Pontiac.

Gents, thanks for your replies.
