I really like both designs. But the Chevy is clearly winding down from the giant fin, lavish chrome era while the Ford is fresh and cleaner. IMO, the Ford sets the stage for the new designs of the sixties. I vote for the Starliner!

Yeah, I agree with John's line of thinking here - Ford for me too.
Slight edge to the Chevy. The rear seat speaker and dual antennas are so very cool. 😎👍

The Starliner for me. A refreshing from the 59 IMO.
Ford please. Just looks better,
Jumping on the Ford train. It looks terrific, while the Chevy looks transitional and is the worse for it.

I very much like the improved lines of the 1960 Chevrolet when compared to the 1959. I still however prefer the Ford in this comparison.

Absolutely! The 60 was SO much cleaner, especially the front end, than the 59.
Really not a fan of either, but I'll take the Ford over the Chevy in this one. But let me point out that only if the Ford is the top of the line. As a plain Jane car, it was one very drab car. Final comment, with regard to the Chevy, I thought the '60 took the beauty of the previous years '59, the '60 was over-killed with chrome.

I give the close nod to Chevy styling; which IMHO is an improvement over the 59.
Wow John these are some great comparisons.
As for the 59s my choice,of course, was the Chevy. The Ford was too square and boxy for me and it never ignited any fire under my butt.
Now, however, for 1960 the Ford is a star !
I guess maybe that's why Ford called it the 'Galaxie'....I'm not sure as all I know is the '60 Ford is the winner here.
Thnx, Steve
The Chevrolet appears to have substance whereas the Ford appears frail. Chevrolet it is!
