I like them both, but I liked the Ford better. So I voted for it.

Ford styling wins this one for me.  The Mercury nose is less attractive than in '63, but I still like it...

When Ford put that Galaxie out for sixty-four, I was hooked.

Mercury.  The 64 Ford was my least favorite design of the 60s.

Ouch!  Both were NOT attractive to my 13 year old eyes back then, and seeing them today, they still are NOT attractive.  After 1963, full-size Ford's and Mercury's were off my styling radar.

Not my favourite year for the styling of either of these cars, but the Mercury has too many "pointy" bits for my taste, and the brightwork and bumpers look cheap and poorly-fitting (especially obvious in the photo above). As ever, I have no idea of the relative merits of the real cars, but style-wise I think the Ford looks more solid and refined.

64 was my favorite Ford out of the 63-64 versions.  Did not care for the 62.  So Ford will get my vote today.

Liked the '60 - '69 Galaxie, especially the '61 - '63. The '64 Mercury has the front fenders which come to a point similar to the '61 - '63 Thunderbird and the '61 Buick which I dislike and the grill is too busy. Ford today please.

Ford styling after that beautiful ‘63 went south but the Mercury for 1964 is still a favorite so gets my nod today.

I'm not a fan of either but the Merc definitely has my vote as I dislike the Ford because it just looks bloated to me.
