Oh my gosh!!!  The Chevelle 100%!!! I had one in that same color when I was in college. I have kicked myself for many years for letting it go.

I voted "No Interest" as neither car draws me to it.  A bad styling year for both, in my opinion.

An excellent match-up! I really like the Ford's design, particularly the interior. But I've always had a weak spot for the 396. In the Chevelle, it's a nearly perfect combination. I'm voting for the Chevy because I would have more fun in it...but not much!

Both are beautiful and strong V-8 mid-size automobiles. I have an Ertl Body Shop 1967 Chevelle and the closest for the Ford are some Yat Ming 1966 Mercury mid-sized diecasts in yellow or red.

I voted Ford. I prefer its looks and proportions. The Chevelle is a bit bland.

I prefer the Ford over the Chevrolet.  Did not like the 66-67, and I did not like the 68 but when the 69 came out even though it was the same as the 68, I preferred the rear taillights on the 69 and then this became one of my favorite Chevelle's.

Fairlane please, always liked the styling of the '66 & '67 and got to drive a new '67 of a friend for a week end, it was a 390 four speed. My '66 Coronet 383 four speed could beat it in the 1/4 but only by inches.   Didn't care for Chevy at all.

Back to the Chevrolet for me. I owned the Chevelle SS convertible for 1966, loved it and it is almost the same. Fantastic, everything but the brakes.

The GM bodies for the 66 and 67 Chevelles make this a clear winner. Both cars have a lot of appeal but the Ford looks bland to me. My first new car was a 66 Buick Skylark GS 400 which I stupidly traded in 1969 For another Skylark GS 400.

@bob-jackman My thoughts as well Bob; I love the Chevelle styling, although the Fairlane is a  nice car as well, it can't compare for looks.  I wonder what a comparison between this Chevelle and the Buick Skylark GS 400 would reveal?
