OMG....John you have outdone yourself this time; the two designs couldn't be more different!  I LOVE both cars for different reasons and just cannot put one over the other......it's a rare tie for me this time.

Man! I have to agree with Mr. Dodds.   I like them both for their differences. Charger only got better year after year but this began the surge as did the Buick

I always thought that year Buick Gran Sport had the most 'muscle car' look to it. 1967 for the Charger was my least favorite year for that later-gorgeous car. Buick for me!

Buick also. The Charger came into its looks next year.

I also went with a tie here. At the time I preferred the more compact Skylark and Dart, finding this pair oversized yet impressive.

The Charger is nice, but the Skylark gets it for me.

A tough one. I love the Charger for its full-size fastback design and killer 4-bucket seat interior. But the Buick calls my name this morning.

Owned a '66 Charger which was a wonderful car as long as you didn't look at the the rear sides or rear end. The interior was outstanding, 4 bucket seats, ['66] full console front thru rear, electroluminescent dash with 150 MPH speedometer, tachometer in dash, carpet on doors.  Coronet fastback, and I love the Coronet '66 - '70.  You all know how I feel about Buicks, but I do like the '64 - '65 Skylark styling.

@jkuvakas This sounds like a joke, but it’s a true story. I was about 14 and a true gear head. The fist time I noticed a Charger up close was one sitting in front of our home. I was checking it out and noticed the Hemi emblem on the front fender. I went in the house and my Mom and her lady friend “Cee” (thats what she was called) where at the kitchen table drinking coffee and smoking. (Cigarettes) I looked at Cee and said “Hi Cee, is that your Hemi out front?” She replied, I just bought it today, but the salesman said it was a Charger. Anyhow, I like the GS best!

Charger for me.  If you have the DM 1/24 and look at that amazing interior you know why.  But I love the exterior styling too.

It's BUICK for me kids!  It's got eye-grabbing beauty to it.  Regarding the Charger, it's too Marlin looking for my taste, and I hated the Marlin look.

My first new car was a 66 Buick Skylark GS400. Fastest thing I had ever been in and the same for the 67. Buick all the way.

@kevins, that's a hoot! I have a similar story. A friend was excited to buy his first Corvette. When he picked it up at the dealership, he gave me a call, sounding like a kid on Christmas day, "I got it, John! A brand new Corvette and it's fully loaded, top of the line. It has everything." I said, "You got a Z06?" He said, "No, you idiot. I told you it's a Corvette."
