The Ford is a nice looking grocery getter for aunt Barbara, the Chevelle is evil, wicked, mean and nasty! (In a good way, of course.)
The sporty Chevy beats the Ford by a mile.
Both were certainly capable of packing some serious V-8 horsepower under the hood ! I would be happy with either of these mid-sized powerhouses. An aunt and then a brother of mine had a 1969 mid-sized 2-door Ford with a standard 351 V-8 which was surprisingly fast and the Chevy Chevelle Malibu was a beautiful and strong muscle car from nearly the peak of that era.
The Chevy looks the part. The Ford is frumpy. Chevy wins.

My favorite Chevelle, so it gets my vote today. Not that I would not take the Ford, but you can see why!
Chevy please. Not overly fond of either one, both are beautiful though in '69 I bought one exactly like this one:
Well, looks like I'll have no problem getting the keys to the Ford, as I'm the only one that voted for it.
