I like both. But purely from a styling perspective, the GTO wins my vote. As good as Chrysler Corp. was with their muscle cars during this time period, General Motors (in my opinion) was on fire with GTO's, 4-4-2's, SS's, and their GSX's. GM put the muscle in muscle.
GTO '65 to '67 after that you can keep them. I owned a '69 RT and loved it. Coronet the full wheel disk/covers were part of the RT package, the poverty caps were add by the owner. I didn't like the full wheel disk so my RT looked just like this one:
Yes the stock rims were black not body color on the RT model.
