GTX please, like them both, but after driving and riding in both back when they were [new] slightly used, much preferred the ride & handling & size [comfort] of the GTX. The Chevelle did seem faster & pulled a little better.
Richie had the Chevelle SS 396
John had the GTX convertible 440

I like both a lot. The Chevelle speaks to me for brute force while the GTX speaks to me for luxury. Today I'm going for luxury. Plymouth.

I love them both very much but the '69 is my fave Chevelle; I just love its styling, which actually makes the awesome GTX look dated IMHO.
