Another tough one! I'd go for the Boss 302. It's a bit lighter and, to my eye, marginally better looking.

Boss 302. The styling of the Mustang is much cleaner with the fast back roofline IMO.

Boss 302.  The facelifted '70 Cougar was a step backwards from the 1969 IMO.

I’m going with the not so common Cougar. 😎

Guys, I couldn't type COUGAR fast enough!  OMG!  I was absolutely gaga over the Cougar's and though the Mustang is okay, it just pales in comparison.  And in that Yellow/Black color combo it is the REAL BOSS!

I AGREE....MUSTANG STYLING WINS EASILY.

Boss 302 by a country mile. It looks terrific.

Chose the Mustang.  Love the '67 & '68 Cougar & loved the '68 & '69 Mustang [Boss 429].

@georgeschire I agree with you George.  It was a tough decision though.

Since I was fortunate enough to own a new 1970 Cougar in 1970, at the age of 19, it is beyond a no-brainer for me. I loved that car! Of course after 10 years of NYC and New Jersey winters the love affair was over but that's another story.

I chose the Mercury, don't like the headlight treatment of the Mustang.
