Cars built in 1998 are now officially antiques.

Good heavens, 25 years seems pretty young to be called an antique. I hope it doesn't apply to people as well. (If it does, what do they call folks like us. Fossils?)
I had a look online and found "antique" is used in Ireland for cars made before the end of 1904, but the term isn't used in the UK.

Over here, we can get antique plates. They are for limited use, mostly to and from shows.

@jack-dodds, there's an app for that. You fill out a short questionnaire, and the next thing you know, carbons start contacting you for a date. I suggest you start out easy, maybe a cup of coffee in the early afternoon.
