Love 'em both! Today, my vote goes to the sleeker GTX!

I'm with Tony. The colors do not help the SS, but the 454 is a monster torque machine! I would lean that way but, the GTX is a stunner...even if it does have a vinyl top. 🙂

I've been going back and forth and couldn't pick a favorite so I vote tie.

I am with Tony and the rest.  I love both, but I had to go with the GTX.  Love the grill and stance.  With the 69 Chevelle being my favorite, the 70 comes 2nd in the Chevelle series.

I have the habit in these great comparisons of voting for the car in general terms as opposed to the image provided so because of this I just cannot avoid giving them a tie today.  If my choice was to be based on the colors and trim shown I would have voted for the Plymouth.  A rare tie for me.

Both of these are great but I'm choosing the Chevelle SS which was my father's last hot car.

John N.; I agree with you about your favorite Chevelles being the '69 and '70 in that order.  The '64 thru '67 styling was really nice as well; improving with each passing year.  Sadly, after '72.....no comparison.

@jack-dodds Jack, I agree with you 100%.  Even though 70-72 were the same body style, there was something about the 70 that just makes it my favorite.  Maybe the taillights being square/rectangle and that fact that the nose had 4 lights vs the 2 on the 71, 72.

That's the attraction of the '70 over the next two years for me.  I really prefer the quad headlight surround being done in body color too.

I could not decide so went with tie.  I’d be proud to drive either one, vinyl tops and all. 😎✌️

Contemporary reports called the Chevy the king of muscle cars, but the GTX wins with those gorgeous looks.

Then there's that distinctive Mopar "rumble".........

'70 Chevelle is the only Chevelle I love, but the '70 GTX is the only Plymouth I love.  Love the GTX more than the Chevelle.
