I find the lines and front assembly of the 1961 much more pleasing. I would imagine that the driving experience is virtually the same. I choose 1961.
As I type this, my wife is making me an appointment for a complete psychiatric evaluation. I voted for the '61. I need to find out what is happening to me.

I can't choose, I can't choose, I can't choose - I love both of them for totally different reasons. I would be thrilled to own either one, OMG! I just can't.....

George, if your wife doesn't, I will. I am blown away by the fact that you picked the '61. I remember your comments about the style. LOL!

That's what's scaring me. I think in the examples shared of the the years above, it's the Turquoise color and the angle of the '61 that could be a factor in why I voted for it. I could cop out and use your rationale, that I like both for "different reasons". But then my even a little bit saying I like the '61 is indeed scaring me.

Easiest one yet! 1961 - perhaps the most beautiful postwar American car. And they messed up the grille immediately in the next year.

As per the recent T-Bird comparison, I find the styling for 1961 to be crisper, leaner and much more beautiful. No contest IMHO.
Agreed, Jack.
In a crazy way you can (sort of) love the '57-'59 cars as outrageous examples of the Age of Excess in American styling, But the '61 is a timeless classic and gets my vote.

Two very beautiful but very different designs. Going with the outrageous '60....loved it from the get go.

George, Can we expect are you going to be falling in love with 2-seater sports cars? LOL.

Well, there is an old saying that goes, "never say never". I remember when the 1962 Plymouth's came out, I was 11 years old and I totally loathed the look and styling of them. Not sure why, but about a decade ago, they started to become attractive to me in an odd kind of way. Today, I love their look.
The same disdain has held true of the '61 Lincoln's as you and others here have heard my proclaim. When the "Which One?" above showed up yesterday, for some reason, the '61 just looked cleaner and less cluttered to me, so I voted for it. As I said in another post here, I think it's the color and the angle of that '61 that displays better than the '60, and for sure the color has something to do with it as well.
But just the fact that I voted for the '61 over the '60 gives credence to the "never say never" saying. So will I eventually hop in to a "2-seater sports car"? I don't think so, but hey, "never say never".
