What a bevy of beauties! Torn between the Lancia and the Alfa.

I go for the Chrysler as I love U.S. styling and it seems more individual than others on the list.  But on the matter of styling, I find it breathtaking that the author of the article could think that the Bentley Continental was based on 1940s fastback styling as it was originally commissioned in 1938 by Bentley from Georges Paulin, as a freelance designer after seeing his work on the Embericos Bentley which Paulin had designed for Carrossier Pourtout.  The Derby designs lay dormant until after the war, when they were resurrected for the Continental (hence the name).

On this note, I've always felt much of the Daimler and Jaguar post-war output owed its inspiration to the pre-war Delahaye and Lago-Talbots of Parisienne carrossiers.

The notes on the origins of the Bentley design are very interesting.  I like the Chrysler.  I wonder if these was something Chrysler commissioned.

What a wonderful selection of vehicles. I have only owned one of these in the past, the MGA, but would like any in my garage. Overall though, the Bentley is well ahead of the others, for me.

The car I felt would be the most fun to drive is the Lancia B24 Spider America, so that's the one that got my vote.
