Strange as it may seem, I'm not interested in either body style.  Both look odd to me.

My preference is for the original from 1941. I do like both.

The 56 has always been a favorite. I do prefer the coupe however. Such restraint in the mid 50s.

Retired in Dunedin, Florida.

Two fine American automobiles, each distinctive in its own time frame.  I just can't see them in a comparison.  If I could buy only one, which?  I guess it would depend upon its purpose, considering the ages involved, the technology of the times, and the problems of preservation.  Put me down as completely undecided.

The Mark II.  It was the start of a long nose Lincolns, which made them stand out.

The beautiful styling of the 41 takes it for me...the beginning of a theme for Lincoln that set them apart in the high-end automobile business.

Hard to compare these two different eras but I would rather own the '56.

@jkuvakas, I apricate the nice words.

Let's see, we have two gorgeous cars from the same maker spanning a decade plus. I chose the one I like best. For me, it's the Mark I with its clean and elegant lines.
