Can't say I recall.... not too many Burma Shave billboards on the Lower East Side. but it was a cute public service message.

Heck yeah I remember all those signs in the Western New York area around Buffalo, Lancaster, Depew, and Cheektowaga. Not to mention Tonawanda, East Aurora, Amherst and West Seneca.

Thanks for great memories. I haven't thought of those Burma shave signs for years.

Before we moved to Sun City West I posted about 7 street slgns like that (Burma Shave style) leading to our garage sale.  Each telephone pole sign had a distinctive saying on it.  They were the topic of conversation from people who showed up just to see what we were selling.
