When I was growing up, my generation never shared all the personal stuff to people outside of a very small circle of family/friends. In fact, I/we went out of our way to keep things private. Today, people share every moment of every day. And the stuff they say and share is 90%, "who the hell cares stuff?". But sadly, that is the world today.

What's Facebook? From what I understand, and this helps tremendously, I'd be too boring to write anything about myself. Maybe I'll join Butt Book instead; stalk interesting people and see if I can glean anything from them that I can post & sell to some unscrupulous pervert. No wait, the telephone scammers already have that covered. Guess I'll just stick to the Diecast Zone on the internet and watch the rest of the world go by without me.
Thanks David. Another waker upper to start my day.
Thanks David; this post really made me stop and think while I was eating my breakfast of two eggs over easy on sourdough toast (second slice with PB and raspberry jam) , with an orange quartered and served up on a side plate, dark roast coffee with one cream, no sugar...so bad for you...which is why I have now excluded cereals like Fruit Loops and Frosted Flakes in favor of Museli...better for regularity too, but I digress. As soon as my missus gets out of bed I will have her prop me up while I stand up on my chair to take a picture of my meal to send to everyone. After breakfast I plan to drive into town in my new Mitsubishi SUV....pics of it and the dealership and the salesman I bought it from will arrive in about 35 minutes.......after that......
@perrone1 Now c'mon Tony......I wouldn't be that cruel!
I agree. That is why I keep my Facebook friends to a minimum.

I like using Facebook but do limit it to my friends. I picked up photography during Covid and was asked by my friends to please do more since they were restricted in going out and I wasn't. I haven't stopped, and I really enjoy it; I've even been requested to publish.
I've reconnected with old friends and with relatives, and my best friend from when I was 16 even moved down here so we can hang out. It has its pluses, but I avoid any pointless posts (I think), politics or contentious issues.
