Maybe it’s a lot to do with the color and the bulldog face but I think the Buick is drop-dead gorgeous. My personal opinion is that era was the best styling for Chrysler. The wire wheels are killer!

I vote for the sporty, stylish, lower, more modern BUICK!
The Grill of the Buick is grabbing to my eyes and looks like it growl its way down the highway gobbling up the cars in front of it. I guess "I would rather have a Buick".
Now this said, I like the Chrysler too, but next to the Buick, it is bulky and old person car looking.

Although I have always been a Buick fan, in this case the Chrysler is my pick. The Buick is beautiful but the Chrysler wins for it's first year Hemi engine and those gorgeous wire wheels.

Another excellent and very close comparison John! I give the nod to the beautiful Buick curvaceous styling and improved grille work showing its visit to the automotive orthodontist since last model year. Both Buick and Oldsmobile did a great styling job in '51 IMHO.

Difficult today. I would normally go with the Chrysler and the wire wheels look great. But the Buick looks sleek even though I dislike the grill. Way to harsh.

Chrysler please, Buick is just toooo much everything. Which is the main reason I just don't like Buicks. I like to blend in with the crowd and then blow their doors off with a monster engine. I care more about performance than glitz looks. Just personal taste.

I love them both but a slight edge to the imposing Buick, it has a statement to be made and does it with a bold in your face look.

I picked Chrysler today. I think it looks more elegant. JMHO though. 😁

I’d really rather have the Buick, especially with the redone grille and single curved windshield.
