I can tell time on an analog watch; even one that has no numbers. And I can write in cursive. I can parallel park and use hand signals to drive. My social media is people who live and breathe talking face to face. Yeah, I have trouble hearing them, that's why I wear hearing aids. And, last but not least, I can usually outcount the number of anyone's prescriptions!

I enjoy today's technology, but it pales in comparison to actually taking the time to meet up with friends and family for real social time.💯😊

I don't use social media. My younger brother is on it all the time. The only time I was glad of his Face Book was last year when my sister in law and my niece's family could only communicate using it during the flooding back east.

I txt family & friends because of distance but I don’t do facebook or x or any of the others. I won’t even facetime.

I see benefits from technology such as the forum but I also see headaches for a guy in his eighties who has no children to teach me how to navigate in a world that seems to create distance for personal relationships.

...umm, guys? Internet + Media + social = The Diecast Zone. Very few of us will ever meet in person, yet the friendships formed here have substance, for they are bound by a common interest. This is the benefit of the technology we use here on TDF, though this should never replace spending real time, with real people.

You're not only right but I'll add something else and can't believe I'm actually saying this, but qite a few members here use a cell phone to access this site. O M G ! HA!
