Ford styling is more modern and it has the V-8, so it gets the nod. I had a '53 as a teen so nostalgia plays a part as well.

My Grandpa had a 1952 green Ford station wagon and my Dad had a 1953 white over yellow Chevrolet Bel Air coupe. I vaguely remember both automobiles.

Ford. Upstyled, almost completely lost the ponton fender look and moved easily into the fifties, design-wise. Chevy still hung on to the pontoon rear fenders and looks only half-way into the fifties. So, today - FORD.

'52 Ford, I don't care for the single bullet in the middle of the grill & the parking light treatment, like the '51 with the 2 bullets in the grill & '55 & love the'56, keep the rest of the '50's Ford's
I don't know why but I like the Chevy in '52 & '55, '57 & '58 are not bad, keep the rest of the'50's Chevy's.
I'm alone again so far Chevrolet today.

I like the Chevrolet, but I like the Ford better. 52 through 57 Ford curve of the fender under the tail lights always catch my eye.

Ford. I like the bullet, taillights and it is pretty sleek compared to the chubby chebby. That said I sort of like Chevy.

Tough call for me since we had the very similar '49 Catalina...I'm going with the Chevrolet.

BTW, In 1952 which car had the greater sales, the Chevrolet Bel Air or the Ford Victoria?
