Great post JK. My wife and I have had a a dozen wagons over the years and travelled all over North America with them, sometimes with heavy loads. I still prefer wagons to the current SUVs even though we have had lots of these also.
Below, heading out to meet friends for a canoe expedition in the Lake of the Woods north of Duluth. That Chevrolet with a V8 was a real workhorse.
I also love these station wagons much more than modern SUVs. I had a couple and miss driving them.
I noticed that the narrator of this clip said that the Chevelle wagon was produced from 1963....it was '64 in my recollection as that was the first year for Chevelle.
