An innocent mistake. He thought it was a RAT Rod!
Given an opportunity, these critters can destroy your car.

How right you are John. Our son and family live almost an hour away in wooded acreage. He has a three car garage. Last year he pulled all three cars out to do a minor remodeling job of the garage. It took him less than a week. Within days thereafter they noticed certain smells and tell tail sights of mice - in all three cars!
In that short period of time nests clogged air filters of one car and they chewed wiring on another.
Had a '50 Austin A40 that the pressure plate broke. Car sat outside up on blocks for 2 months for the new pressure plate to arrive from England. Car would not start when put back together, so we pushed it up to 50 mph before the mouse nest finally blew out.
