Only in the sense that it's a strange choice. The rest of the car is designed with a "yard stick,"  so it seems odd that circles would appear.  But as Jack noted, they sure looked nice in '62.

It's still impressive (well, to me anyway ) that these drawings are from 1957!   Really advanced thinking ("outside the box" ) when compared to ANYTHING American at that time.  😎
