All new to me. I never took up golf. I couldn't learn that little dance you do before hitting the ball!
@perrone1 LOL....I could dance around just fine; I think in this sport it's called all show and no go. Actually hitting the damned ball was my issue....oh and a MAJOR lack of patience. I remember thinking "wait a second here.....I PAID to feel this frustrated?" I gave it up many years ago with no regrets.
When I was in my twenties I came to the obvious conclusion that I was never going to be a good golfer. My brother who is a year younger than me, and who is now 85, is still trying to prove the same thing to himself. Some people are just slow learners.

First time out I heard all the cussing and thought; well i can compete there! But then that dance and when they showed me how small the ball was and how tiny the cup was and WHAT distance? I said - See Ya!
In the Adirondacks doing 'eighteen holes' signifies a few hours of installing new fence and is not considered a sport, in those parts. I can't imagine the reaction I would get if I told them they needed to chase a little white ball around, while doing it.
Hell, I can't even master putt-putt golf.🤣😂😁
I’ve only played 2X at 9hole courses and since we weren’t “under the gun” and just having fun we did exactly that. I regret not taking advantage of the open invitation from Bunsi & her husband who ran the pro shop at the Los Alamitos Naval Base Golf Course in Cypress,CA. That was my first delivery on my route and they told me to come by after work and play 9. This was also where Tiger Woods played. I delivered there from late 70s - 1994. What I always found kind of ironic was the # of Lexus’s in the parking lot with “Pearl Harbor” survivor plates/frames.

Only trap i encountered around the 19th Hole was my ex circling the parking lot wondering whats taking me so long. 😂
