...inside sources have confirmed that the next-gen Camaro will be built alongside the next-gen Cadillac CT5 at GM's Lansing Michigan Grand River assembly plant in 2027 as 2028 models. No pictures yet, sorry, but I'm excited....I'd be very interested in a 2028 Camaro convertible. 😎 😀 😀
Furthermore, it appears that a new '28 Buick sedan will also be built there. 😀
It would sure be nice to see the Camaro carry on.
Good news. I read the same thing this morning. There was a comment that the Camaro may not be what you would expect. I wonder what that means. Stay tuned.

@ed-davis Honestly...... there's a better "case scenario" for a 4-door Camaro than for a coupe or convertible quite frankly, and anything is possible but.... WOW-WEE that would be something. 😬 😬 😬
OTOH.... I vividly remember seeing the very first Lincoln Navigators and thinking, "How stupid is this! Who in the hell wants a Lincoln truck!" Shows you what I know! 🙄 🙄 🙄
Seems I'd read somewhere, OR, seen it on TV that they were talking of making the Camaro into something similar to the Mustang Mach-E. That would be sacrilege. 😟
Come on Chris, we ALL know how successful the Lincoln Blackwood was. 😂 Let’s give the buying public something no one asked for and see how it sells.
I really can't get my head focused on the market for the last generation Camaro. They say it's a 4 seater but I can't believe 2 full size adults can sit comfortably in the rear seat. Back in 2024 MSRP for a V8 Camaro ran between $50k and $100k, based on the model and options. Why buy a Camaro when you can get a nicely equipped Corvette for $70k to $100k? Maybe I'm too much into Corvettes to see the purpose of the Camaro as currently configured.

@sizedoesmatter I agree John, for similar money I'd also pluck it down for a Corvette.💯
"Maybe I'm too much into Corvettes to see the purpose of the Camaro as currently configured."
Yes, yes, you are John......
1) Despite GM F-body cars always having "rear seats," no "adults" could ever "comfortably" sit in them. So... "no rear leg room" is nothing new.
2) Despite the pricing & performance similarities, a Vette is a completely different "beast" when compared to Mustangs & Camaros. It's really "apples & oranges."
3) I love convertibles, and since the age of 17, I've never not owned one - but - I MUST have a back seat. I've never owned a 2-seat roadster.
4) All this aside, the reality is that Americans don't care about coupes and have even LESS interest in convertibles. I sincerely HOPE the '28 Camaro line-up includes convertibles (I would like to buy one ), however, I will NOT be surprised if it doesn't. 😫 😔 😫
@sizedoesmatter I agree with you about the price and the Corvette being the better value. I remember back in the late 60’s when you could buy a nicely equipped Camaro or Mustang at an affordable price. I think a price in low $40K range for a nicely equipped Camaro is appropriate. I own a Nissan Z, and you can get a new sport version Z for about $44K MSRP, and it has 400 Hp.

@carsman1958 From what I read today, it will likely be ICE.
