As far as I am concerned, the words "North" and "joy" have no business showing up in the same sentence. If I had my way, I would live in Key West. It's as far south as I can get and still be in the USA!
OH YES! I grew up in South Florida. As an adult, I spent half my (Florida) life in Key West. What a place. Oh the stories I could tell - but can't.

My negative was the result of a fat finger. Hopefully, I have fixed it. Having spent time in Africa, I found it a wonderful fascinating changing place and would never disparage those from there. My last two visits were Zimbabwe and Morocco, very different. Definitely positive.

Hi David, you may have fat fingers but it was somebody else's - possibly slender - finger that pressed the red button 😀 ! The name comes up with the disapproving thumb and of course, being inquisitive I checked it out. 5 dislikes for half as many likes; so I shall go to bed thinking it has more to do that than the British Empire and will sleep the sleep of babes.
@perrone1 Perhaps I was just at the end of the queue but my memory doesn't go that far back, and what I can remember makes me think I was possibly at the front, (though that was before Brexit happened).
@perrone1 Sadly I can't access this right now - mine is a difficult relationship with youtube which involves them constantly blocking my access, but sooner or later, they relent; generally at less busy times! But certainly the music has to be the best part of it. I must have about 100 L.P.s of Zairian, Ghanan, South African, High-Life, Jive and Rhumba. For the same reasons as above, I am having trouble sharing some of this stuff via youtube, but managed to find this fine example among my e-mails - (hope it works and will come back to you re. your music post).
It had nothing to do with where you actually personally lived or was born. The dislike was for the climate in central Africa. I guess it was like you disliking the snow & cold where I live. Nothing personal.
I must ask John K. if he received a dislike too, as I simply agreed with his comment. Perhaps you should read again, I have never said anything about disliking snow - wherever anyone might live. Nothing. So it must be personal.

Having been born in central Africa, I could not agree more.
To explain myself again, I have no opinion and don't care where you were born, apparently I offended you personally for my opinion of the climate of Central Africa. But you clearly agreed with John's dislike for cold climates. My mistake was not posting an answer, instead I expressed my opinion by a negative for my ease of not having to type an answer, but because of your sensitivity I have to type quite a bit more than a simple answer would have taken. Oh well!
