There is some brief but foul language about mid-way.

Interesting story. The car as found was certainly well worn by time. Not my decision to make but if it was, I would have preferred to see the car kept in cleaned but original condition. There are 1/43 models of it by Autocult and Avenue 43.

Astounding series of events ! Glad this one has been found and wasn't sent to the crusher.

@ben-lampson   WOW !!! This AMC is amazing. A concept ahead of its time by a mismanaged company, but has stood the test of time by its design.

@paul-rouffa ..... Ditto !!!. My passion is 1/18th concepts and prototypes. This video of the AMC concept just made my jaw drop. The design is timeless, and way ahead of its time. It has taken the Corvettes, what 30 years ?? to come up with a beautiful design to compete with the European super cars. This would make an exceptional diecast model.model

Fascinating history for these cars.  There also were two brand new cars in Italy that did not go to AMC, but were purchased by a couple of American friends who had them crated and shipped to the US.  They got screwed over by the shipping company and had no choice except to pay the freight (which doubled once they were loaded) to get them here.   The tale twists and turns from there and eventually the friendship ended, the cars were lost and the resurection took place.  Plenty of video documentation on Youtube.

Extremely interesting.  I hope they restore it faithfully to original specs.
