Oh what a wonderful old time. Yes, times were tougher; you had a ton of chores kids today never heard of, much less did! I loved the town 'squares' out west, particularly my Texas. Our town, here in TN has a few too. Ours is on the square with the court house centering it. Our old photos don't go back to the beginning (1794) when Sam Houston taught school here but the school house survived.
Ft. Loudoun has been rebuilt but the two Cherokee villages it served after 1756, have been excavated and flooded to make Tellico Lake. I love these old towns and old pictures Galen, I hope you keep them coming!!
