Traffic Camera

A man was driving when he saw the  flash of a traffic camera.

He figured that his picture had been taken for exceeding the limit, even though he  knew that he was not speeding.

Just to be sure, he went around the block and passed the same spot, driving even more slowly, but again the camera flashed.

Now he began to think that this was quite funny,

so he drove even slower as he passed the area again,

but the traffic camera again flashed.

He tried a FOURTH TIME with the same result.

He did this a FIFTH TIME and now was laughing when the camera flashed as he rolled past, this time at a snail's pace.

Two weeks later, he got FIVE tickets in the mail......

for driving WITHOUT A SEAT BELT.

None.

Traffic cameras work by setting off a sensor in the ground AFTER you pass a solid red light.

That is no doubt "click bait" from FB or some other social media. Funny as heck, but not real life.

LOL!I hear an audible beep, beep when nearing a traffic camera. But I always drive slow, always buckle up and rarely keep bodies in the trunk.  Nonoise

Traffic cameras for speed, phone use, seat belts, intersections  were used in Toronto and many other cities in Ontario, Canada for sure until this year. The Ford government banned them for speeding but not other infractions.

Dimension-wise Ed, I have no idea. I only know that, so far, my record is four XL side by side lying front to back. Three XXL on top of the that heading north and south and two Bubba, or 3XL on top with a XXL tarp!!  Laugh

There are no cameras where I live nut I am curious, I have installed lap belts in my three collector cars. Would the cameras be able to pick up whether or not I am wearing them?

@bob-jackman I doubt cameras could pick up a lap belt.

Folks,

Cameras are not "picking up" seat belt issues. Someone would need to be watching the camera 24/7 and at speed it would be impossible to determine.

Now, the CHP on the otherhand, is actively riding the freeways and stopping lots of non-belt wearing drivers with their stealth vehicles (all different colors and stealth decals).

Please remember, AI is incorrect on most issues if you are looking at the google response.
