Not using turn signal shows a blatant disregard towards fellow drivers.

If the training required to become a pilot were applied to driving a car, there would be a 90% reduction in the number of cars on the road legally.
Oh just wait a second fellas! I, for one, NEVER see pilots use their turn signals! In fact, I'm not sure airliners even HAVE them!
Aren’t turn signals optional on cars?

Not sure they were ever optional. Outside rearview mirrors used to be. But when I took my driver's test, there were still cars around that did not have turn signals/lane change indicators and we had to demonstrate to the test officer, hand signals - left turn, right turn, slow and stop.Aren’t turn signals optional on cars?
@perrone1 Tony, when I took my drivers road test I had to use hand signals although the car was equipped with turn signals. If I recall turn signals were optional and available aftermarket.

YES! I failed to mention that but I had to do the same even though the car had them. And I remember the add-on turn signal device you're talking about. It was a crude addition that strap/bolted onto the steering column and you had to wire up the car for them. Saw them, never had one.@perrone1 Tony, when I took my drivers road test I had to use hand signals although the car was equipped with turn signals. @perrone1 Today if you explained hand signals to an officer, he wouldn't know what you were talking about.
