The Olds is, familiarly a little bulbous while the Packard is rakish! Today, I'm going to the Caribbean -  Packard.

Fiesta for me. I like its rakish looks.

The 53 Packard Caribbean has always been my favorite post war Packard. The charm of it's wire wheels, full radiused rear wheel cut outs Continental kit and it's whisper quiet straight eight engine with it's four barrel carb still make me sit up and take notice. The Fiesta on the other hand is a big step forward in design and technology and it too captured my attention with it's curved wrap around windshield, wire wheels, cut down side window rails, continental kit and especially it's Rocket OHV engine. A dream for me would be to have either in my garage but if I have to choose just one, the Olds would be my pick. Thank you John for the wonderful comparison. As I have said before, your car  knowledge enables you to pose some very interesting, brain teaser, comparisons and are the highlight of my mornings.

I much prefer the leaner styling of the Packard, which makes the Olds look a bit chunky in comparison and its "pouty face" grille detracts somewhat as well.

Another tough choice! Both cars were bright flares, lighting up the design landscape with excitement and hope for an exciting future. But, seeing them side by side, the Olds looks larger and heavier (the skirts and downturned mouth do not help in this respect), while the Packard looks more lithe and nimble. I vote for the Packard.

The Packard has been my favourite in this class going back to when it was made. Still is.

Packard for me too. I couldn't live with that ugly frumpy looking front end of that Olds 👎

No Contest!  OLDSMOBILE!  Futuristic styling and modern looking.  The Packard looks like a refugee of the '40's with its bulbous body and dated windshield.
