That's £9.22 ($11.55) per UK gallon. The latest mantra in the news is "£100 to fill your tank". That's for a typical mid-size European family car. They're suggesting closer to £140-£150 for an SUV with a big tank. And it could go a lot higher.
You know, just to prove a point, someone once drove a Chrysler Turbine with Chanel No 5 in the tank. That might just be a cheaper option.

In Alberta, Canada our regular grade gas is currently $1.91 CDN per liter, which is about $8.60 per CDN gallon. Our gallon is about 20% larger but our CDN currency exchange rate is around 27% less to the USD, so the cost per gallon is close to the same. Damned expensive!
