I checked in with the Forums a couple of hours ago and was required to do a new login before posting (ho, hum) but when I clicked on "I am not a robot" I got straight in without having to do a reCapcha!
That's the good news. Has it finally been disabled?
The bad news is that when I came back an hour later I had to do another new login - but once again I was spared the reCapcha business. Maybe I forgot to click "Remember me" the first time? We shall see.
If reCapcha really has been disabled (at least for people whose username is recognised by the system) maybe this needs to be publicised for the benefit of those who still find it a real turn-off.

That's usually how it works for me. No changes have been made to the site. I hope it carries on for you, Graeme.

Signing in for me is about a 50/50 deal that I get through without going through the verification process. What burns me is that half of the pictures are blurred.
I'm finding that I usually don't have to sign in when I'm on my desktop. But I do have to sign in every time I use my phone or tablet. Also, when that occurs, I usually have to go through three or four of the CAPTCHA screens before I get through.

I haven't had to sign in lately... I guess the site "remembers" me now.
