This 1963 Cadillac Wagon is believed to have been custom coach built by GM at the request of a member of the Rockefeller family. According to sources, it was 1 of 3 made and this is the only 1 to remain. The car utilizes a '63 Cadillac Park Ave sedan body grafted with '63 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser roof. The original Cadillac trunk lid was incorporated to sculpt the rear body line.
During the restoration process, the client requested to upgrade the engine to a 429 for increased HP and installation of rear AC for improved comfort.

Love it! I'm in for sure. Many Cadillac conversions come off as hearses...not this one.

I'd love to have one just like it. It's not so much a 'what if' as, to me, a 'why not?' Caddy should have made them for public consumption. Thanks for posting this John - very cool indeed!

Yes, it works well and looks convincing as a possible Cadillac wagon.

The Vista Cruiser roof obviously brings to mind the similar one-off conversion done on a '61 Thunderbird

Vista Bird 2

Somebody also tried the Vista Cruiser roof on a Dodge Challenger. Maybe not quite so successful, although I thought the roof pillaring treatment was quite interesting.

It's also interesting that the width of the Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser roof seemed to fit such different cars so well, because I don't think widening or narrowing it would have been easy.

@graeme-ogg GREAT follow-up response Graeme - thank you sir! That Challenger is incredible considering its size!

I really like the look of the Caddy.  Its size seems to accommodate the station wagon look and Vista Cruiser roof very well and IMHO presents much better than the smaller T-Bird and far better than the Mopar.

I like the Cadillac best, then the 62 T-Bird and Dodge last.
