No, I don't think so.  Looks weird.

Looks great lowered. A Studie-up truck?

The rear window jumps out immediately as not being in sync with the lines of this Studero.  IMO the glass area needs to be smaller and have a metal surround in keeping with the look of the side windows.  Otherwise I like it!

It seems they used a windshield for the rear window.

 Very pleasing Studebaker modification.

It must have seemed a neat (and convenient) idea to use that windshield for the rear window, but it looks too obviously contrived and just a bit weird. A more conventional rear window would be less distinctive but would also look less odd.

Studebaker pickup edit

Well, you gotta give it a try.

Graeme are you able to make the top of the rear window glass level with that of the doors and maybe lower the rear window glass line a touch?  I'm thinking that if these lines were more symmetrical it would look greatly improve the look.

You are determined to stretch my limited technical capabilities to the limit, Mr Dodds.

Here is a very quick and dirty attempt to lower the rear window, giving a deeper roof and reduced height of bulkhead behind the cab. Don't know if you find that an improvement?

Studebaker roof v2

Not sure if Christopher is saying "No" to the original, or to my changes, or to your suggestion for a further change. Personally I prefer my first attempt, the second one maybe makes the upper roof a little too heavy-looking.

But hey, it's 10 p.m. in Greenwich and thereabouts, and I'm off downstairs to have a brandy and a cigar, so damned if I care.

@graeme-ogg The first of these two changes is an improvement IMO.

John, that is a very good-looking Studebaker "El Camino" type modification. I could see Studebaker doing this, although they already had the Champ.
