Sometimes you wonder.

Maybe they were getting bombarded with hail and took cover.  Other than that there is no explanation.  

Maybe they ARE aliens and frightened of rain/hail?  Or...and this is my guess...they're just stupid!   

LOL.  It looks like a hail storm to me, which makes sense....however there are a multitude of great reasons that aliens would never land here.

One of them being that they may have done a bit of long-distance Internet browsing and discovered The Lounge. Self-preservation and the maintaining of personal sanity is probably a powerful innate drive in most intelligent alien species.

Notice, they are green! I'll bet they bleed pink blood. 

Hey...who are those green goobers calling sentient? !!  And furthermore...what does sentient mean??  Time to don my Paladin gear......my trigger finger is twitchin'....the streets will run pink.

Well, I can tell ya (being a pool owner for most of my life ) .... I know this looks strange but if that's heated pool water, being pelted on the head & upper body with "cold"  rain water is not a neat experience.   🙄 😯 😮

They are calling us BARELY sentient, a term which (as I believe has been previously discussed here at some length) refers to fairly simple living creatures which appear to have a detectable level of conscious awareness but have relatively small brains and relatively large posteriors with a distinctly embarrassing lack of discreet hair cover.

This would seem to be a fair assessment of our group status, and to claim otherwise would be a bare-assed lie.

Maybe they thought the umbrella would protect them from a lightning strike.
