It's quite attractive but I think I would incorporate the door sill trim of pic #1 into the fastback version instead but of course make it the same grey color as the roof trim.
Photos #2 & #3. Yowsah! #1 - nope. The convert, especially, is a hot little number!
I guess I'm going to be a minority here but I have always like these cars like they were built. IMO they were a breathe of fresh air. I do like the convertible and coupe renditions but they look a lot like Studebakers to me.
@chris Other than the overscale toilet seat I always sort of liked this unique design. They sold well...they were everywhere back in the day......rust came early though.
For me the way it left the factory is by far the best looking.

A very interesting series shown here. Plymouth was a client of my Dad's at that time and he purchased a white 1960 Valiant, which I recall he had seat belts installed before we took it down to Miami Beach on a vacation. We had it until our next car was a Studebaker Wagoneer station wagon. (another client)
Well, I'm joining the minority contingent here. I like the original look of the Lancers. As for those other mock-ups, NOT attractive even a little bit.
