You've turned down the volume on your car stereo to see better.

LOL...for sure. Now with these touch screens it's even easier to find all sorts of wrong choices; you can easily be distracted too. Many times I find myself wishing I still had my '65 Mustang 2&2.
Can't say that I have, but I definitely have used my gate card to open my garage door and my garage door opener to access the guard gate.
One of the many things I like about my Nissan Z is that it has physical knobs for things like volume, tuning, and heating/AC controls. For me, the less things done on the touch screen, the better.

I agree. I like the touch screen for navigation but the newer XT5's now have redundant controls. A small knob and larger knob on the console. The larger toggles through the various items on the touch screen and a push on it enables where you land. A smaller knob controls volume, mute and on/off.One of the many things I like about my Nissan Z is that it has physical knobs for things like volume, tuning, and heating/AC controls. Yes, too funny! 🙃 😀 😆
Considering I play my music at a concert hall pitch - these kids with their thumper bass & mega subwoofers have nothing on me - I crack myself up EVERY TIME I turn the volume way down, or hit mute and/or pause, when I'm trying to locate a street or an establishment. Doing that make ZERO sense.... yet, I've been doing it for years! 🤨 🤔

You should be able to talk to it too.... but NOTHING'S faster than using the knob/dial!
Being technically ignorant we have a vehicle that is smarter than us and one that has things we will never understand.
Love my 1994 Mazda MX-5 Miata for very obvious reasons.
And I'm perfectly happy with my O2 Sport Trak. I would never want to have a vehicle with a touch screen.

I find it rather odd that in this day of major enforcement against distracted driving using cell phones, the cars have a bunch of digital prompts that have the driver do just that!
Exactly ! With all the freeway driving I do for work I find it almost impossible to believe some of the things I see.
Yes Chris. The voice recognition works well with several tasks but the only one I routinely use is for making calls."I like the touch screen for navigation but the newer XT5's now have redundant controls. A small knob and larger knob on the console."
