Me. I lived in Manhattan from 1979 to 2014. Chelsea neighborhood from 1981.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
.
Lived and worked in various parts of NYC from 1943 through 2007. Including.....
The Lower Eastside (Delancy St, Little Italy and Chinatown) of Manhatten, Bensonhurst Brooklyn, Staten Island, City Hall Area, and the World Trade Center Areas of Manhatten. I also spent some time on the Upper Eastside of Manhatten.

I don't see anything wrong with this question. JBs answer, for example, is very interesting...
reading all these names makes me think about finding out more.
Never lived there, but visited NY, Manhattan actually, many times, but always on the way from somewhere and on the way to somewhere else. NY is one of the world's great cities and just to visit there is like being inside of a magic spell.
I couldn't live there though, I am both temperamentally and culturally unsuited to the place. Heck, the total population of my own country is, at four and a bit million, but half the population of New York.
I probably would have enjoyed London, England more than I did, If my son-in-law hadn't walked around with a slapped arse look on his peanut head face.
Small town way of seeing life, I guess.
West Village 1981-84, 1986-92.
I've forgotten.....what city and country do you live in?
I live in Johnsonville, Wellington, Aotearoa/New Zealand, Bill.
