That's actually funny; gave me a good chuckle - thanks David.

We've traditionally had turkey at Thanksgiving and a ham for Christmas. I was under the assumption that a pig in the manger kept Jesus up with its passing gas and thus ham was eaten from thence on.

I like the latter explanation - this year I made a 11 pound smoked, glazed w/bacon bits spiral cut ham that was incredible. Either way, no one argued the brilliant oration of either a turkey or a pig.

This is also where the biblical phrase "Don't be such a turkey" originated.  Personally I am just thankful that the "ugly baby' comment wasn't made by the donkey.
