Following our recent problem with uploading on WordPress and the possible cost of fixing a bug which it should have been WordPress's responsibility to sort out, I came across a report on BBC News saying people were unhappy with the way the service operates. Some of you may find it of passing interest.

Interesting. I had no idea they were as large as that. At my age, I keep thinking back to earlier times when simple was better. I think it is still true today.
WP is truly a juggernaut. But it's only a foundation or a website and is open source. For instance, multiple plug-ins are added for the Zone to function the way it does. Some of those come from third-party sources. Most of those sources automatically upgrade when WP upgrades, but not all of them. It is then up to the webmaster to make any adjustments necessary to keep things running smoothly. Those are usually fairly easy. But if no one is at the helm, and more upgrades occur, eventually glitches arise. That's what happened to us. Without someone knowledgeable enough in coding to monitor the site, we ran into a problem. At that point, WP was of no help as they are not aware of what plug-ins are being used and have no interest in allocating resources to address our particular problem. It's only by Kevin's good graces and Karl's help that things got fixed.
This welcomes a discussion on how Zone functions. The forums are free of charge but sponsored by Legacy Diecast. The cost is not overwhelming, but it is a drain on Legacy and Mint Models. Kevin McGrath absorbs that expense without complaint, but we would do well to support Kevin and Legacy at every opportunity. I often wonder how many of us even consider Legacy when shopping for a model.

Of course you and I have talked a little about this. I wish there were a visible and viable link on this site, to Legacy and Mint Models. Both seriously worth the consideration - great selection, GREAT service and great pricing!
@perrone1, maybe we can come up with something. I've spoken with Kevin about them being more proactive on the site regarding their marketing. We'll see what happens.

My 1/18 SunStar 1955 Pontiac police car came from Legacy and at a great price ! It has always been a favorite.
I apologize for sometimes being delayed in answering a post, as I still have great difficulty logging on and somehow usually get on through Word Press and my passwords, etc seem to mostly get rejected..
Lol, I still don't how I managed to somehow delete my original Forum entry and I get on (when I do manage to log on) through WP and an email link.
I sincerely doubt it was YOUR fault Mike. There are still some glitches that creep into the daily workings of the internet and this site, like most others, isn't immune 100%.My 1/18 SunStar 1955 Pontiac police car came from Legacy and at a great price ! It has always been a favorite.
