While continuing with the platform today, I decided to make a change.  Instead of a step, I am now adding a ramp to the side of the platform, where the step was going to be placed.  It would make it easier for rolling luggage and for people in general.

I began by scoring the balsa wood, first, then giving it a slight bend, which will eventually have a 'brass' strip in place to denote the elevation change for passengers.  After which I built the base and mounted it to the platform.  I wanted to be certain I retained the bend in the ramp while the glue was setting, so I placed a piece of the wood underneath it, while it was upside down.  Later, I will stain it to match the platform.

You may notice I sanded the platform and I am not happy with how it turned out, so I will redo the surface, to bring it back to what I had created, originally.  Two steps forward, one step back...

Update: The ramp has been completed and now has its first coat of finish.  I also went over the platform with another coat of finish, as well ,and I feel it is much improved as a result.  I may have neglected to note the scale of this vignette is 1/24, which is the size of the figure I used to see how it would look, tonight.  You may recognize him.  So far, so good.

@gdh thanks guys for your kind comments. I think it may have been this seller? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/174347617408

Although he doesn't appear to be selling anything at the moment. I'll keep an eye out.

Well, the long-awaited stone drive for the parking area arrived, today, bringing with it a dose of disappointment.  Usually, when I order something like this that is on paper, self-adhesive or otherwise, there is some sort of cardboard support inserted, as well, to protect the 13 Euro sheet from being 'disturbed.'  Not so, in this case.  This is how I found it in our mailbox:

The printed side is creased in several areas, rendering it unsuitable for purpose.  So, while I wait for a replacement, I will divert my attention to another ongoing project.
