love these old Johan kits. Need to be careful, plastic is often brittle, and need to make sure they are always sealed. Not sure how old it is, late 70s early 80s? Love the unusual grill on the car.

Nice job!   Jo-Han  made so many great kits, including your '62 Plymouth with its kooky Venus styling  which I happen to love!

I can never look at these '62 Mopar convertibles without harking back to one of the chase scenes from It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.     Gotta love this '62 Dodge!  😎 😎

Geoff, love your red drop top...great job. Way back in 1962 one of our crew had a Red '62 Savoy 2-dr post with the 413 C.I. Ram Induction dual quad engine. Ruled the street and strip.

thanks gents, really appreciate your supportive comments. Chris as you would be aware I'm sure there are other Johan 1/25 early 60s Dodge and Plymouth kits, including the 62 Dodge. Generally they are expensive and hard to find but out of all of them the 62 Dodge is the most 'gettable' so I'm hoping to land one or both.

@geoff-jowett  Oh yeah, as a kid in the late 1970's/ early '80's I had/built most of them - when you could buy them new for about $3    😀 😀 😉

@chris I recall buying many AMT models kits in the early 60's; they cost $2.25 at my local hardware store.  I was always saving up for the next one....lol.

@jack-dodds Yep, for the longest time K-mart  (remember K-mart? ) priced most of their 1/25 models @ $2.68      Being the spoiled brat that I was, I ended up building (and destroying ) many of them.   Testor glue - that could get you high - was about .58 cents while their square jars of enamel paints were about .39 cents.    But spray paint was a whopping $1.47  😬 😬 😬

Then.... my mom & I would grab a bite at The Eatery  located in the back of the store.   For $3.50 we had a great meal with dessert!  😜 😛
