Here is a publication that was in my Grandfather's files which was the Diamond-T Annual Report for fiscal year 1953.
After the continuous production of various trucks, half-tracks, and other vehicles, etc for World War II and the additional contracts for the 1950-53 Korean War, things became tougher for independent vehicle manufacturers in the USA.
My Grandfather was a Chief Engineer at Diamond-T and the Secretary of the Company was J.F. Danielson, who was my uncle.
The front picture shows a beautiful cab-over delivery truck for Jewel Food Stores which was a local grocery chain and in the parking lot, I think I see a 1952-53 DeSoto and a Plymouth sedan.
I would like replicas of any or all of these vehicles in any scale or material !
Really nice archive piece to have in a collection. And I am impressed, once again, by the superior condition these treasures are in! Thanks for sharing!
Great stuff Mike made even more important by those who collected these things before you.....I'm sure they would be proud that you treasure these as much as they did.
Thanks,Tony ! As they say : "You don't always realize what (or who) you have until it's gone ....."
As a CPA the first thing I noticed was that 52% Corporate tax rate! We're at 21% today.

I wonder if that may have anything to do with a Korean War contracts special excess profits rate during the duration ?
