What an epic journey. Congratulations on seeing it through. I'm sure you'll spend many hours just taking it in. In ten years, you probably won't remember how you did all this.
HA! Well, I'm not done yet...lots of little stuff to do. You'll recall (..auh, possibly not.. ๐ LoL) I did have a 5yr break...so I already can't remember how I did things. Thank God I saved those pics! (Whew! ๐).
Rich, you were correct on one thing though....ย I was kind of bragging early on when I noted I hadn't spent much, "I have most all supplies on hand."ย Well, I ended up spending a small fortune on micro screws & paint....I didn't have enough of either. ๐ฃย
Thanks for the "congrats!"
The Professor has wrapped up this semester!ย This is another tour de force effort!ย I lack the words to adequately convey my admiration for your superb effort!ย Well done, sir!ย Now, you have to do a photoshoot with both haulers and trailers together!ย It will be epic!ย ย
Amazing! Quite literally puts any custom work I have done 'on the trailer' Your attention to detail and willingness to fabricate everything needed to make it 'right' is really inspiring - All hail the King!

Well, not quite "wrapped up" yet......ย still a bucket full of small details, trim, decals, etc... ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ย ย ย But I truly appreciate ALL OF your kind words none-the-less. ....and yes, you're reading my mind (what's left of it). Once this COE project gets to the 97-98% level of completion I do plan on a side-by-side trailer photoshoot. ๐ย
Thanks again Marty.
PS
I still have this entire set-up as a goal....assuming I ever muster up the "spirit" to actually do it.ย Can you imagine TWO full car-hauler trailers on ONE flatbed railroad car, all in 1/18 scale? I can. ๐ ๐ย

Frank you are too kind. Thank you VERY much but I'm just a guy with a "Dremel and a dream."ย ย Like many projects, "right" is sometimes a compromise meaning "as close as possible." A few things simply had to be tweaked because I got lazy, however, the "basics" (measurements, scale, proportions) are correct. Not done yet but obviously, I'm "over the hump."ย And trust me, compared to some real master craftsmen out there, this COE project is child's play...like fooling around with Legos. ๐
ย 10-12 UPDATE Part 1 of 2:ย I know, I'm getting sick of these updates too... ๐ฃ ๐ซ ๐ ย Hopefully, I'll have only ONE or Two more updates to post. Obviously lettering (decals) are still needed along with a few more smaller details such as mirrors, trailer rachets, tie-down chains, overall weathering, etc..ย Until then, here's up-to-the-minute-progress in 33 pics:

Chris, I love watchingย your updates. Great fun.
Once again I say.....amazing!
Thanks Jack. Not really amazing at all....but I'll take it. ๐

"Great fun."ย ย Not for me.... I just want to finish this and move on! ๐ฃ ๐ฅ ๐ฃ ๐ซ ๐ฃ ย ย ย ย But thank you very much Bob.
That appears to be a "1/24-ish" COE semi...a KW or PB?ย What's your goal for this?ย
Well, if you did all that weathering, I'm highly impressed.
Hey, I took a FIVE-YEAR BREAK so, auh....anything's possible.ย Work at your own pace; it's NOT a race. You go for that GOLD! ๐ค ๐ค ๐คฉย
@chrisย It`s an AMT KW 123ย
I was prompted to show a pic or two when I saw how you were messing with clearance/marker lights......I misplaced my cab markers and did a little fabrication using amber colored sprue softened and shaped with a cigarette lighter ๐คจย
and then came the paint
lots and LOTS of paint

@john-barry Super job JB. I don't recall having seen the cab on the truck before.
