This is a model I have wanted for some time and most of the ones I found were either damaged, or horrendously expensive (shipping required from the UK), so I had to bide my time. Today, after a quick chat with a seller, I purchased this FM 1910 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost Balloon Roadster, which was one of only four I found that still had the basket with it, as well as the packaging for shipping. Two issues, both stated in the sales text are he can't find the FM tag and the left running board is lifting some. He also provided a photo of the running board, with his listing. So far, so good. I'm hoping this purchase will make up for the twisted experience of yesterday.
A wonderful model which makes any collection a fun experience. I love these brass era cars.
@bob-jackman I'm bidding on this one, as well, in 1/24 scale. I am also watching the same model in the 1/16 scale, though I have to think about space, first.

Well congrats are in order for this find !!
@gdh Although 1/16 scale is somewhat of an oddball, the mint cars in this scale are really nice. If you have the space I highly recommend them.
took me years too to find a MIB example, well worth the wait. One of the best in 1/24 IMHO.This is a model I have wanted for some time
@bob-jackman I have the 1/16 FM Bugatti Royale Coupé de Ville and I have to agree with your assessment. It is one of my favorites. If this Rolls comes in at a level I can afford I will bring it home.

GDH, this model was never made in 1/24, only 1/16
@chav Hmmmm... Here is the listing and I will send him a note right away. Now, I am relieved I didn't buy the other one that IS listed as 1/16.
I have found this FM 1905 RR listed as 1/24 also:
That's one of my issues also are models misrepresented size wise. There was one model ( not these ) listed as 1:24 for $500.00. Turned out it was 1:18 and upon checking they were never made in a 1:24 size.
Well, I did a little homework and found a complete listing of FM releases, in which it shows both of the 1905 RRs as 1/16. Hmmm...

I am certainly positive the 1905 RR was never made in 1/24, these listings are wrong. The red car is limited edition repaint of the green car.
@chav As I noted in another thread, eBay is fine with the listing as it is. I will file a claim with PayPal after the model is delivered. With all of this listings for this seller, I am the only bidder on any of them. I find that odd.
On a good note, this 1910 Rolls Royce arrived yesterday and it is everything it was supposed to be. After a disappointing few days, this is a nice one.
